WOW WOW WOW!!! I received an unexpected package yesterday from the UNITED STATES HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES in Washington, D.C. I could not imagine what it could be! I am grateful and humbled beyond words!!!

To the Honorable Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick,
THANK YOU for this unbelievable GIFT that you have given me! The flag literally made me weep. I’m still choked up! I promise to spend the rest of my days proving myself worthy. I pledge to never kneel, or take a knee, or disrespect this flag, and all others like it, and what it represents, as long as I live. I will always stand, with my hand over my heart, and salute, and respect, and remember the freedoms guaranteed to me under this flag, and the sacrifices, and the bloodshed, and lives lost protecting it. The Greatest Generation carried our American flag as they bravely marched into Nazi-occupied Europe and set my mother and my grandmother free. I will never take it for granted. It will occupy a proud and prominent place in my home and I pledge to continue to do the important work that caused you to so kindly and generously have this beautiful American flag, which was flown over the United States Capitol (OMG!!!!), delivered to my front door.
Thank you again, Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick for entrusting me with this American treasure. You have no idea how much this means to me. I am grateful to my core. I don’t do what I do for the accolades. I do it because it’s the right thing to do. This astounding recognition is more than I dreamed would ever come my way. I’m just a Jewish American girl, from Northeast Philly, doing my part, to make sure that the six million Jewish and 11 million human lives that were so brutally and needlessly extinguished during the Holocaust are never forgotten, so that we NEVER allow it to happen again. And making sure that our kids are educated about it, so that when they see it coming down the turnpike, they are equipped to call it out, and stop evil in its tracks.

We all have our callings. This one is mine.

God Bless You and God Bless America.

With much appreciation and respect always,
